This course is designed to equip caregivers with essential skills and knowledge for the daily care of elderly loved ones, with a focus on skin health and hygiene in a home setting. It begins with an overview of "Basic Anatomy and Physiology of Skin," where participants learn about the structure and function of aging skin, crucial for understanding the unique challenges faced by the elderly at home. The course then delves into "Maintaining Skin Integrity in a Home Setting," teaching techniques to recognize and address signs of deteriorating skin health, ensuring optimal care within the comfort of home.

Further, the course covers "Home-Based Personal Hygiene Skills & Identifying Needs," where caregivers master various techniques for oral, perineal, hair, skin, and foot care, tailored for the home environment. Caregivers also learn to identify specific hygiene needs of elderly individuals. Lastly, "Assisting with Showering and Bed-Bathing at Home" focuses on practical methods for aiding in showering and bed-bathing, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. Overall, this course prepares caregivers to provide comprehensive, respectful, and effective day-to-day care for their elderly loved ones at home.
